Personalized Mentorship

Embark on a transformative journey with our program designed for high school students interested in psychological research. Receive personalized, one-on-one guidance from experienced researchers as you explore the complexities of the human mind.

Uncover insights, develop essential skills, and ignite your intellectual curiosity in this unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of psychological discovery.

Structured Curriculum

One student, one mentor, one project. Each mentorship is a personalized journey tailored to the unique interests and needs of the individual. Engage in weekly one-hour sessions to build a solid foundation in the first three weeks, followed by an immersive research experience from weeks four to eight. Plus, benefit from additional 30-minute one-on-one office hours to enrich your learning.

Interview stage

The interview aims to assess the applicant's genuine interest in the subjects and the research course they have chosen; evaluate any relevant experiences the applicant possesses that align with the research course's objectives; analyse the applicant's ability to engage in thoughtful discussions and demonstrate critical thinking skills; and provide applicants with an understanding of the nature of discussions and supervision they can expect during the programme.

During the interview

During the interview, you may be asked general questions about your academic interests and experiences mentioned in your application. For example, if you stated in your personal statement that you have shadowed in a hospital or volunteered at a clinic, and you are applying for a research area in biology and medicine, we would like to know how these experiences helped you gain a better understanding of the subjects or if you learned something interesting from such experiences.

Extracurricular activities support from mentor

Receive dedicated support from your mentor for extracurricular activities, helping you explore your passions and develop new skills. Whether it’s guiding you through projects, providing resources, or offering valuable insights, your mentor is there to nurture your interests beyond academics, fostering growth and creativity every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

This program is designed for high school students in grades 9-12 who are eager to explore research in any academic field. No prior research experience is required, but a passion for learning and curiosity about academic inquiry is encouraged.

The program spans 8 weeks and is divided into weekly workshops, mentorship sessions, independent research, and group activities. Each week focuses on a specific aspect of the research process, from topic selection and literature review to data collection and writing a final research paper.

Global Neuroscience and Brain Research Program  offers a wide range of career opportunities in areas such as research and development, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, and marketing.

No, you don’t need to have a research topic beforehand. In the first two weeks, our mentors will help you explore your interests and guide you through the process of selecting and refining a research topic that excites you.

Mentorship is a key component of the program. You’ll have both group and one-on-one mentorship sessions. Group sessions allow for collaborative brainstorming and peer support, while one-on-one sessions provide personalized guidance on your research progress, methodology, and writing.

Mentors provide guidance on every aspect of the research process, including selecting your research topic, developing research questions, conducting a literature review, designing your methodology, analyzing data, and writing your final paper. They’ll also offer feedback on drafts and help you prepare your final presentation.

No prior research experience is necessary! The program is designed to guide you step by step through the research process. Our workshops and mentors will teach you the fundamentals, and you’ll have plenty of support along the way.

While you’ll be responsible for your own individual research project, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers during group discussions and peer reviews. The program encourages a collaborative learning environment where students can share ideas and provide feedback to one another.

At the end of the program, you’ll complete a fully developed research paper (10-15 pages) and deliver a 10-minute presentation summarizing your findings. These final projects will demonstrate your understanding of the research process and your ability to communicate your work effectively.

At the conclusion of the program, you’ll receive detailed feedback on your research paper and presentation. Outstanding research projects may be recognized with awards or certificates. You’ll also walk away with a portfolio-worthy research paper that you can include in college applications or share with future academic advisors.

On average, students should expect to spend 5-8 hours per week on the program. This includes attending workshops, mentorship sessions, and independent research work. However, the time commitment may vary depending on the stage of your research.

To apply for the program, visit the official application page and complete the application form. You may need to submit a short essay or personal statement explaining your interest in the program, as well as any prior academic experience.
